President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kiev should build strong relations with independent Azerbaijan. He also emphasized the importance of restoring contacts with Armenia.
"We need to build strong relations with independent Azerbaijan. We support its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Also this year, after a long break, we restored the ties with Armenia for the first time. All this will help," said Zelensky.
According to him, the goal of Russian President Vladimir Putin is to restore what has collapsed in the past, and the stronger and more independent the states of the former Soviet countries are, the more difficult it will be to achieve this.
Zelensky also noted that the presence of Ukraine in the territory of the former Soviet countries contributes to strengthening the independence of those states, adding that Ukraine will continue to develop relations with the countries of the region.
