On July 9, 15-year-old Ali Mehdiyev, a resident of Georgia, was stabbed to death for speaking his native language.
The incident was registered around 19:00 in Vashlijvar district of Tbilisi. According to reports, a man expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Ali spoke in Azerbaijani, uttered insults, after which he attacked him with a knife.
The victim's mother, Sevinj Guliyeva, told the media that the initial information that spread after the accident was based on the stories of people who were close to Ali.
