US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant announced that the United States will try to block the operations of two major Iranian airlines.

"We will also close landing sites, refueling and ticketing for two major Iranian airlines," the US Treasury Secretary wrote on X.

He did not elaborate on which companies he was talking about.

The largest Iranian airlines are Mahan Air and Iran Air.
