Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan noted that the continuous blockade of the Strait of Hormuz exerts significant pressure on the global economy and energy security, and this problem must be resolved.
"Closing the strait puts enormous pressure on the world economy, energy security, and the economic and political stability of the region. Governments around the world are fully aware of this economic pressure.
Therefore, the efforts of the international community are aimed at reaching an agreement on opening the strait as soon as possible, as well as ensuring the safety of navigation," Fidan said in a press conference with Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani in Qatar.
