The injuries suffered by the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, as a result of the airstrike, have almost recovered, reports Al Araby, referring to Mazaher Hosseini, the coordinator of government consultations.
Iran's new leader was injured in the attack on February 28, when Israel and the United States launched a joint military operation against Iran. As a result of the attack, his father, former spiritual leader Ali Khamenei, and his wife were killed.
According to the words of an Iranian official, due to the wave of the explosion, Mojtaba Khamenei fell down and received knee and back injuries, as well as a small injury in the back of the ear. Hosseini emphasized that the back injury has already healed, and the knee, according to expectations, will be restored soon. The small incision behind the ear is not visible because of the turban.
The Wall Street Journal notes that this is the first time that the Iranian authorities have publicly disclosed the details of the insult to the new supreme leader.
