We learned from the circle of Artsakh citizens that Samvel Babayan, the former secretary of the Artsakh Security Council, is in deep "depression". It's no secret that after moving to Armenia, he tried to cooperate with the authorities and expected that they would give him some status, or at least that Pashinyan would bring him into the game ahead of the June 7 elections, because he promised to bring the votes of some circles of Artsakh from the opposition forces to the KP.
However, after the results of the Vagharshapat elections, both the opposition and Pashinyan realized that Babayan's chances are not great, and the army of Artsakh citizens who obey him is not large, so they did not bet on him. Samvel Babayan, they say, tried to build relations with some oppositionists, but they also had doubts that Nikol Pashinyan was behind Babayan, so they also refused. As a result, he did not run for the elections with his own party, nor did he cooperate with any other force.
Let's remember that the Liberal Party led by him participated in the 2021 parliamentary elections. He received the votes of 1.17 percent of the voters and crushed about 15 thousand votes.
