Pope Leo XIV is not inclined to associate the visit of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio with "current issues" and expressed hope for "open dialogue". As quoted by Radio-1, the grandfather told journalists about this. A meeting with the head of the Roman Catholic Church is expected in the Vatican on May 7.
According to the protocol, the meeting with the Pope will be followed by negotiations at the Vatican State Secretariat.
"I hope for a good, open dialogue to build trust for better mutual understanding. I think that his visit is not related to current issues," Levon XIV said.
