"The CEC published the National Assembly 2026 election schedule. the main stages and deadlines have been set. The Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia has published the schedule of the main activities for the preparation and holding of the regular elections of the National Assembly to be held on June 7, 2026, clarifying all the stages of the electoral process and important deadlines. According to the published schedule, the electoral process is entering an active phase.
"Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper was informed that the electoral lists of parties and alliances of parties will be published on the official website of the CEC after the end of the registration period of the electoral lists, within a three-day period, until May 6, 2026.
In order to ensure financial transparency, it has been established that the relevant banks will regularly, every three working days, submit the data on the movement of funds in the bank accounts of the parties participating in the elections and the parties included in the alliances to the Corruption Prevention Commission.
The latter will summarize the data and publish it on its website, starting from May 7 until the third day after the vote. The schedule also includes the stage of organizing electronic voting. envelopes containing individual codes for voters who vote electronically will be provided to the ministries of foreign affairs and defense no later than 10 days after receiving the respective lists, by May 7.
By May 8, the distribution of the positions of the presidents and secretaries of precinct electoral commissions will be done according to the electoral precincts. The same day is also the deadline for parties and alliances in terms of opening pre-election funds, which must operate in any commercial bank with a branch in Yerevan and all marzes. The official phase of pre-election campaigning will start on May 8 and continue until June 5 at 24:00. During this period, voters and political forces will have the opportunity to carry out active campaigning. From May 8 to May 13, at 18:00, applications for the appointment of members of precinct election commissions will be submitted to the CEC.
At the same time, until May 13, the parties, blocs and deputy candidates included in their lists are obliged to submit their property and income declarations. The first sessions of the local election commissions are scheduled for May 16 at 12:00, which is an important stage from the point of view of the organization of the election process. In addition, the schedule also includes a number of control and accounting measures. In particular, by May 23, the relevant bodies must submit to the CEC the numbers of voters registered in military units, national security and police forces, as well as in penitentiary institutions.
It is also noted that the persons involved in the election process, the members of precinct commissions and technical specialists, can apply until May 24 to be temporarily removed from the list of their place of registration and to be included in the list of the electoral precinct of their location.
In general, the timetable published by the CEC aims to ensure the organized, transparent and controllable implementation of the electoral process by defining clear stages and responsible bodies. Let us remind that the next elections of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will take place on June 7, 2026.
