The opening ceremony of the new building of the Armenian Embassy was held yesterday in Paris with the participation of RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barot.
However, these authorities are so meticulous that they did not invite representatives of the Armenian community to the opening ceremony of the embassy.
Co-chairs of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France, Ara Toranyan and Murad Papazyan, the leader of the Armenian Diocese of France, T. Bishop Grigor Khachatryan and other Armenians. Instead, Ararat Mirzoyan and his close circle went to participate in that solemn event and tour Paris at the expense of the RA budget.
The opening of the embassy was attended by the wife of the foreign minister, the general secretary of the foreign ministry Davit Karapetyan with his wife, the member of the national parliament Hripsime Grigoryan, and other employees of the ministry.
Meanwhile, we owe Armenian-French friendly relations not to Ararat Mirzoyan or Nikol Pashinyan, but to influential French-Armenian figures, who for decades made every effort to build those relations and now find themselves in an awkward situation with the French authorities, who see how ungrateful the Armenian government is towards those people.
