"Fact" daily writes:
On Saturday, a multi-thousand-strong rally of the "Strong Armenia" bloc was held in Liberty Square, during which Samvel Karapetyan's first "Change Speech" was also delivered.
Although the representatives of the government and pro-government satellites tried to create the impression that the rally was not crowded, the undeniable fact was that tens of thousands of people had gathered in Freedom Square.
This is evidenced both by the shots taken from the square itself and by the vigorous march. What does this all mean? The first circumstance is that "Strong Armenia" really has an extremely high rating and support among our public.
Secondly, the majority of our society rejects the current authorities and strives for radical changes for the sake of saving the country.
Thirdly, even anti-democratic repressions, turning the entire law enforcement system into a political tool against the opposition, putting administrative resources at the service of one person do not save the current authorities, do not discourage people, which implies that there will be an unprecedented turnout in the upcoming elections, which is not beneficial to the current authorities.
Finally, this powerful rally was a serious "message" that if Nikol Pashinyan, realizing that he has lost power, goes "to the bank" and instructs not to register the "Strong Armenia" alliance, then the people will simply flood the streets of Yerevan and other settlements, which may have serious consequences for the authorities.
And it is much better and correct for any country to achieve a change of power through elections.
