The Zhoghovurd daily writes: “According to the information of the Zhoghovurd daily, Nikol Pashinyan continues to look for a new job for Armen Grigoryan, who was unexpectedly dismissed from the post of Secretary of the Security Council. Moreover, according to our sources, this is not about an ordinary position. The Prime Minister wants to appoint Grigoryan to a position with a fairly high status.
As we have already written, after Armen Grigoryan was dismissed from the post of Secretary of the Security Council, Nikol Pashinyan offered him to remain in the government as an advisor to the Prime Minister. According to our information, however, Grigoryan refused this offer, not wanting to continue working within the government.
After that, according to our sources, Pashinyan offered Grigoryan to leave for the Russian Federation and take up the post of Ambassador of Armenia to Armenia. However, this offer was also rejected.
And now, it seems, the Prime Minister is looking for a new option.
According to well-informed sources of the “Zhoghovurd” daily, Nikol Pashinyan is discussing the option of sending Armen Grigoryan to a high-ranking position in a European country. According to our sources, we are talking about a European country that has special significance for Armenia and plays a significant role in international processes.
Moreover, according to our sources, this option, unlike previous proposals, seems to be to Armen Grigoryan’s liking. In other words, Pashinyan is trying to find a country in the status of an ambassador that Grigoryan will not refuse.
It is not yet clear which country he is talking about. According to our information, there is no final decision on this issue, and Nikol Pashinyan continues to consider options.
It is noteworthy that Grigoryan’s dismissal came after many years of working as Secretary of the Security Council. He had held that position since May 2018, briefly moving to the position of First Deputy Foreign Minister in 2021, and then returning to the position of Secretary of the Security Council.”
