Horror on the roads of Armenia. "Fact"

"Fact" daily writes:

It turns out that during the service carried out in the republic from March 30 to April 6, the patrols discovered 20,426 violations of traffic rules. Among them, 400 drunk drivers, 600 drivers without driver's license, and 4447 people traveling without seat belts were found. To say these are scary numbers is an understatement. Moreover, this week is not an exception. almost always a similar picture.

For example, from March 23 to 30, the patrols recorded 22,649 violations of the CRC, including 424 drunk drivers, 600 drivers without a driver's license, and 4,632 people who were not wearing seat belts. From March 16 to 23, the patrols found 5361 violations of the CRC, 21783 violations in the marzes, including 410 drunk drivers, 572 drivers without a driver's license, and 4611 people without seatbelts. Such alarming numbers are also in the case of other violations: smoking while driving, using the phone while driving, speeding, etc.

And so, all the time, every week. And if we take into account that these numbers do not include violations recorded by video surveillance devices, the picture becomes more complete. Add to this the fact that, understandably, the patrols cannot physically "catch" all offenders. So, imagine how many violations we actually deal with, how many drunk drivers get behind the wheel, drive without seat belts, speeding, etc.

What is all this talking about? In addition to the fact that, unfortunately, most of our drivers are not disciplined, we also have a systemic problem. The "reforms" carried out in the police system have not actually produced significant results, the patrols do not manage to be physically "everywhere", often they are nowhere at all, because they are busy carrying out orders not arising from their direct duties. On the other hand, fines in Armenia for particularly dangerous violations are quite low.

It is unlikely that any European country has such lenient penalties for, for example, drunk driving, driving without a license and other violations. Well, perhaps there is no time and "desire" for real reforms. the important thing is that the entire law enforcement system is the one who executes the orders of the ruling power and its leader.
