"Fact" daily writes:
One of the "nails" of Pashinyan and his team's "false start" campaign, if not the main one, is the false thesis that they brought (will bring) peace and the opposition brought war. During this period, Pashinyan even managed to slander from the podium of the European Parliament that the Armenian Apostolic Church is a "party of war" (this is one Azeri thesis and accusation). Similarly, according to Pashinyan, the opposition parties of Armenia are also "war parties".
In short, according to Pashinyan and CP, everyone wants war, and only they are peace-loving, peace-making and peace-making. The fact that Pashinyan makes such statements, and the fact that his CP supports him, is already comical. The same Nikol Pashinyan is talking about peace, whose "politics" in 2018-20 led to the final impasse of the negotiation process on the Artsakh issue within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, and then to defeating that process and nullifying the subject of the negotiation. Moreover, by shouting "Artsakh is Armenia and that's it" in Stepanakert, Pashinyan not only "stolen" emotions, but practically legitimized Azerbaijan's and Turkey's undisguised plans and plans to withdraw from negotiations and resort to military aggression. And brought war.
A disastrous war that led to heavy human and territorial losses. And defeat. In the following years, as "aftershocks" of the disaster, there were several short-term military clashes, during all of which the Republic of Armenia itself suffered certain territorial losses. By the way, still not restored.
Similarly, as a result of Pashinyan's "politics" and especially the denial of Artsakh in Prague (on October 6, 2022), hostile Azerbaijan and the criminal and anti-Armenian clan of Aliyev, who leads it, considered their bloody hands free to depopulate the thousand-year-old Armenian Artsakh. And Artsakh was thoroughly depopulated for the first time in history. And here, Pashinyan, who brought all these disasters, and the CP, which absolutely supported him in all these catastrophes, are talking about... "bringing peace".
In addition, they threw in the above false thesis that they are the "doves" of peace and everyone else is "hawks". But that in turn. At the same time, it is interesting to observe what is under the "peace" spread by Pashinyan and his CP. The fact that they wrote in big letters on their "happy bus" and posters. In general, the guarantee of peace is that there should be a certain balance of military, military-political, foreign-political forces and opportunities between potential opponents.
Accordingly, an armed army capable of combat and adequate to modern requirements, as reliable as possible allies with compatible interests, opportunities to influence the other party also through "third parties". There are also other additional factors, such as (formed) friendly or hostile relations between neighboring countries and peoples. Well, what is under Pashinyan's "peace"? by and large, or in short, nothing.
No, it is understandable that some weapons and ammunition were acquired, but it is hardly comparable to the intensive militarization and armament that is being observed in the case of the enemy Azerbaijan. In addition, Azerbaijan and Turkey are consistently deepening military cooperation, intensively holding military exercises regularly. In addition to all this, Armenia is consistently worsening its relations with Russia, moreover, it has frozen its participation in CSTO activities.
In other words, the structure through which, by saving tangible resources, Armenia used to be able to acquire comparable weapons, ensuring the balance necessary for peace and peace itself. And when you look at Pashinyan's "peace" gap, it turns out that it consists of... Aliyev's "good will" and desire, plus Erdogan's "good will" and "desire.
And plus what Trump said and TRIPP. It is even ridiculous to examine the "good will" options of Aliyev and Erdogan. Azerbaijan and Turkey have always wanted and want the abolition of the statehood of Armenia, the annihilation of the Armenian people and the usurpation of the living space. Those two states, with their current territoriality, are the most striking evidence of what has been said.
It is suicidally naive to think that their motives and plans have changed. As for TRIPP, the much-advertised "project of the century" appears to be highly unpromising in light of the current realities, particularly the US-Israeli attack on Iran and counterattacks by neighboring Iran. This is to say the least. You see, even Pashinyan is not trying to hide it under the current conditions.
I mean, even his fans can laugh. Meanwhile, let's recall the self-confident statements of Pashinyan and his teammates not too long ago that TRIPP brought stability for 99 years, it will ensure Armenia's independence for 99 years, this, that. That propaganda bubble also burst. Or, still unimplemented, it blew up, just like the multimillion-dollar, super-expensive American radar systems deployed there and the illusions of safety and security of the oil-rich Arab countries blew up. Let's summarize. the thesis that Pashinyan will bring peace and others will not is false.
Moreover, under Pashinyan's PR "peace" there are no real factors, no deep, multifaceted calculation, no guarantees. There is nothing under Pashinyan "peace", it is just a word written on posters. In those conditions, by the way, the thesis of guaranteed peace, as outlined by certain opposition forces, is at least much more worthy of attention.
