Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Israel's recognition of Somaliland may lead to new conflicts.
"The Horn of Africa should not become an arena of struggle for foreign forces. Turkey is categorically against adding new conflicts to the existing conflicts in the region. We believe that the countries themselves should find the solutions to the problems of the region. In this regard, I would like to emphasize that Israel's recognition of Somaliland will not benefit either Somaliland or the Horn of Africa," Erdogan said.
