On January 16, at 4:03 p.m., the crisis management center of the Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department was alerted that an accident had occurred on the Ashnak-Katnaghbyur highway.

One combat unit from the fire-rescue squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene.

It was found that "Toyota" and "Opel" cars collided on the 65th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. The "Opel" car left the road and overturned.

The rescuers cut off the power to the cars, closed the valves of the gas cylinders, took the passenger of the "Opel" car out of the car and brought him to the ambulance. the driver and the passenger were hospitalized in a medical center.
