Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan agreed to create new transport corridors

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will create new transport corridors and jointly promote transport to the Caspian Sea and China, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, said.

The agreements were reached as a result of negotiations with the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev. The leaders of the countries discussed the most important directions for the development of transport cooperation. Systemic cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics was emphasized as a priority.

The joint creation of new transport corridors, including the Uchkuduk-Kyzilorda road, and the promotion of cargo transportation through the ports of Aktau, Kurik and Khorgos were considered important," the message states.

President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev is on a state visit to Uzbekistan.

On November 15-16, he will participate in the 7th meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia, to which Azerbaijan has also been invited.
