A mother and two children died because of fast food in Istanbul

A mother and her two children, three and six years old, who came to Istanbul for vacation from Germany, died, presumably from fast food poisoning. An investigation is underway, Milliyet newspaper reported on Friday.

According to the publication, on November 12, the staff of the Fatih District hotel called an ambulance for a family of tourists from Germany who complained of vomiting and feeling unwell.

They were hospitalized, but after receiving treatment, they were discharged the same day. On Thursday night, the children's condition worsened again and they lost consciousness. The family was hospitalized again.

"Despite the efforts of the doctors, 3-year-old Masal and 6-year-old Kadir could not be saved. Their mother, Chidem, also died on Friday, and their father remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital," the publication reported.
