During 2025, on a voluntary basis, and starting from January 2026, electronic labor contracts will be mandatory for employers and employees in all cases of employment or dismissal. In other words, from next year, the conclusion, termination and modification of labor contracts will be carried out exclusively on the digital platform.
Employers perform all functions related to electronic labor contracts through the "Electronic Reporting System". The digital system enables employers to create and electronically sign employment contracts, hiring and termination orders, as well as amendments or additions to employment contracts. At the same time, it is possible to edit, cancel and search any document in the system, and after signing the documents, receive electronic notifications. Mandatory fields are also provided in the system, which the employer is obliged to fill in when hiring a citizen, and if they are not filled in, the system automatically prompts about the error.
Employees can use the digital system through the "Unified system of electronic services for natural persons" by accessing the newly created "Employment contracts" section. In order to use the platform, it is necessary to have an electronic signature, with which it will be possible to enter the system, view the contracts signed with them, the orders for hiring and terminating the employment contract and work agreements, sign these documents electronically and receive notifications.
The digital system of labor contracts is available in Armenian, Russian and English. By the way, if the signing of labor contracts with newly hired employees electronically will be mandatory from next year, then the contracts of those employees who are not yet digital, from January 1, 2026, employers will be obliged to enter them into the system within a twelve-month period, and the employees should simply confirm the digital contract with an electronic signature.
