Less than a third of the Palestinian bodies handed over by Israel have been identified in Gaza

Less than a third of the Palestinian bodies handed over to the Gaza Ministry of Health by Israeli authorities through representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross have been identified, according to a statement posted on the Gaza Ministry of Health's Telegram channel.

According to the agency, since the ceasefire agreement came into force, 315 people have been returned to the Gaza Strip. To date, only 91 bodies have been identified, the identity of the rest is still unknown.
The situation in the Middle East escalated sharply after the armed supporters of the Palestinian Hamas movement entered the territory of Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, killed residents of border settlements and took more than 250 hostages.

In response, Israel launched a military operation in the enclave with the aim of destroying Hamas' military and political structures and freeing all abductees.
