Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Syyarto has said he intends to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
"I will meet with my partner Lavrov on Wednesday, and of course we will discuss the war," Syarto said on the Hungarian TV channel.
Syarto used to announce that Brussels tried to interact with Russian and Belarusian delegations to the UN General Assembly, but they do not give orders to him.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he was proud of the peace strategy of Budapest, which includes maintaining a dialogue with Russia, and it believes it is in Europe.
