France suspends anti-terrorist cooperation with Mali, in response to the arrest of an employee of the French embassy, Agence France-Presse reports, citing a diplomatic source.
A French citizen has been arrested on August 15 on the suspicion of working for French intelligence on August 15 in Mali's capital.
"France has decided to suspend cooperation with Mali in the fight against terrorism, which contributed to his arrest." Said the source.
According to the source, the Mali's authorities were informed that other measures will be taken in the near future if the French citizen is not immediately free.
France also deports two Malian diplomats. According to the source, they must leave France until saturday.
Mali's authorities have previously told five employees of the French embassy in Bamako an undesirable person who had already left the country.
