It is a very shortage of water in Ankara reservoirs. The supply of the Turkish capital can be provided with water for barely 3 months


According to the Water and Sewerage Department of the Ankara Municipality, the water reserves in Ankara reservoir have significantly decreased.

The total flood of reservoirs as of this year, 2025, is only 19.42%, and the active resource available for use is 8.52%, Ermenihaber writes.

During the same period last year, these indicators were 39.41% and 31.21%, respectively.

It is noted that about 1.7 million cubic meters of water is supplied to the city daily. According to experts, the capital of the current few reserves can be provided with water for barely 3 months.

It was reported that Chamlle, Kurtbalogan, Akyar and Eghanaka Reservoirs, the water level decreased by about 40-50 meters in the morning. As a result, sections of old settlements and houses have become visible, islands.
