It is known which couples are the happiest in their relationship

The international team of scientists found out that couples who met officially, at school, at work, or friends, averaging their relationships as happier and have a stronger love than those who have met online. The work was published in "Telematics and Informatika" magazine.

The authors of the work have analyzed more than 10,000 adult data from 50 countries. The focus was on 6,600 participants, who were in a relationship at the time of the survey. Scientists have compared the quality of those who have met those who have met in real life and the quality of their partner, on the websites and those encounters.

It turned out that "online" couples often had a lower level of satisfaction and less manifestations of love, intimidation, passion, and especially a partner. These differences have been observed even age, the duration of relations and the socio-economic status.

Interestingly, the differences were more noticeable in people over the age of 33. The opposition between online and offline acquaintances among women and young participants was weaker.

According to Martha Cowal, the management of the "Being Humanitarian" laboratory at Wroclavi University does not mean that the "online" couples are doomed.

"Many people find long and happy relationships online. However, on average, those who met offline, more often, are more likely to express a higher level of satisfaction and strong love, "said the scientist.

The authors suggest that the quality of relations can affect the choice of excessive choice, less similarity of the cultural and social origin of partners, as well as the mismatch between expectations and reality.
