The Cabinet of the Ukrainian Ministers of Ukraine has registered a bill in the Verkhovna Rada, which will allow Ukrainians to be sentenced to imprisonment for illegally crossing the country's border illegally. The initiator of the law was Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, according to a documentary card posted on the parliament website.
At present, only administrative responsibility is planned to be illegal to cross the border in Ukraine, up to $ 206 in detention.
Explanatory writing of the draft law of Ministers is proposed to change this event and increase the amount of fines from 51,000 to 170,000 hryvnia ($ 1.2 thousand - $ 4.1 thousand), as well as criminal liability in the form of up to three years in prison. Ukrainians can be imprisoned for additional three years to damage border infrastructure during experience.
