Azerbaijan has sent another batch of electrical equipment to Ukraine as humanitarian aid. The press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic stated this.
On August 11, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on providing $ 2 million to Ukrainian Ministry of Energy to provide humanitarian aid. The funds were intended for purchase and delivery of electrical equipment produced in Azerbaijan.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the cargo burden includes about 90,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 25 generators and 7 transformers. "The equipment was sent to the regions affected by the War of Ukraine to support the restoration of electricity supply," the statement said.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the total value of the humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has so far exceeded $ 44 million.
