The IAEA inspectors were informed about the gunshoting by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the territory of the Zaporozhile NPP

The inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) working at the Zaporozhe NPP were reported to the plant's surrounding shell, which broke out a fire near hydraulic structures. This was reported to the Telegram channel of Zaporozhe NPP.

Earlier, the Governor of Zaporozhie Region said that Ukrainian troops opened fire on the territory near Zaporozhile NPP.

"The continuous shelling of the Zaporozhile NPP in the territory of the Zaporozhie NPP has led to fire hydraulic structures. In the industrial square of Zaporozhe NPP and the adjacent area, the radiation background currently meets natural values and does not exceed norm.

"The IAEA inspectors present at the nuclear power plant were informed about the event," the statement said.

According to the station's press service, the fire in the territory of the station's hydraulic structures was localized by specialized firefighters.
