The Spanish Foreign Minister welcomed the Putin-Trump's upcoming meeting

Spain Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares has stated that he has a positive attitude towards the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump to resolve the situation in Ukraine.

The Kremlin and the White House previously announced that Putin and Trump will meet in Alaska on August 15. The exact location of the meeting has not yet been mentioned by Moscow or Washington.

"I think it's very positive that someone is sitting with Putin to talk about peace," Albarese told TV, answering what he expected of the meeting between the two leaders.

Albarese noted that he supports everything that can bring the situation in Ukraine to peace.
