An unexpected weather has been found to maintain mental transparency after 50 years

Granddoors can reduce the risk of development of Demencies at 50 years of age and old. Chinese scientists have reached this conclusion. The results of the study were published in Jama Network Open.

Scientists have analyzed the health data of more than 10,000 people aged 50 to 79. It turned out that up to 39 hours a week, the risk of developing the Democracy was 24% lower than those who did not care about their children at all.

These data were obtained as a result of cognitive tests. Participants regularly passed through the study.

According to the authors, the positive effect is more active in the social and digital life. Such elderly people have used mobile phones more often, access the Internet and have experienced loneliness. These factors explain up to 37% of the observed protective effect.

At the same time, being extremely busy with grandchildren, the equivalent of full-time, did not contribute to cognitive health. Researchers believe that such workloads may cause fatigue and stress that neutralize positive effects.
