Scientists have first recreated the planet's birth process in the laboratory

For the first time, US scientists have considered how the particles of plasma can form planets. That's why they use rotating cylinders and liquid metal with a special device that imitates the behavior of the material in space. The work was published in the Journal of Physical Review Letters (PRL).

Aidetia disks are huge rings of gas and dust surrounding the stars and black hollows. Researchers believe that the planets are formed from such disks. However, the process of forming their form was not completely clear.

The physicists of Princeton Laboratory have used a device consisting of two rotating metal pipes. There were special fluid with such plasma properties. It turned out that if such an unequal "fluctuations" occurs in such a circle, the particles begin to move. Some of them out, while others are inside. The inner people accumulate and eventually turn into a planet.

"Our attempts have shown that such fluctuations may occur more often than we thought, and it is possible that they cause the plan to form planets," said the co-author of the work.

It is especially interesting that this "fluctuation" can happen even without the influence of gravity, the difference between the movement of the material is enough. This is the type of instability that is observed in space, such as the edge of the solar crown or near the black hollows.

The authors note that even though their research was conducted on earth, they allowed them to better understand the structure of the universe. The study of the process of creating planets like the earth from the clouds of the gas was especially important.
