Biden wants to strengthen the support of presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that US President Joe Biden's statement about the readiness to negotiate on the reduction of nuclear arsenals is related to the election campaign of the Democratic Party. According to him, thus Mr. Biden wants to strengthen the support of presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

"It is a desire to earn pre-election points for the candidate of the Democratic Party," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with "Argument and Facts" (quoted by TASS). On October 14, Joe Biden announced that the United States is ready to negotiate without preconditions with Russia, China and North Korea to reduce the nuclear threat and reduce nuclear arsenals.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated that the position on negotiations "without preconditions" means the discussion of an issue outside the relations of the countries regarding the special operation. The Russian side considers such conditions unacceptable.
