Thailand police have arrested a 47-year-old man in Bangkok, who was sent to sell two children orangutang, and one-year-old. Animals were found in plastic baskets, with stand, feeding bottles and toy. The man can receive up to 4 years in prison.
The detainee confessed that he was delivered to the animals, but did not say where they were. The investigation is underway to find out whether orangutang have been imported from abroad or have been bred in Thailand.
According to the police, this deal is part of the international smuggling network, with the United States, the Netherlands and the United Nations. The animals have now moved to a special state center. The sale price was about 9,000 AMD, CNN reports.
