On May 7, India hit Pakistani and Pakistani Kashmir, responding to the attack on pilgrims in Indian Kashmir, killing 26 people. Indian Defense Minister Rajnat Singh stated that the blows were "accurate" and "only against terrorist targets." The operation was called "Operation Sindur", Reuters reports.
Pakistan said that the blows also caused civil targets, including the mosque, and announced at least 26 civilians. The Pakistani army stated that five Indian military plane was hit by New Deli. At both sides, heavy shelling was recorded along the "Control Line". There are also casualties in Kashmir, India, at least 15 citizens, 43 wounded.
The international community, including the United Nations, China and the United Kingdom, have called for restraint.
