NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the new alliance command will provide a “real change in the situation” on the battlefield for Ukraine. He said this during a visit to the newly created NATO Security Assistance and Training Headquarters in Ukraine (NSATU) in the German city of Wiesbaden. It, as well as the logistics hubs next to it, will house about 700 military personnel.
NSATU will coordinate training and provision of military equipment to Ukraine by NATO partners, including artillery, ammunition and air defenses, and will help Ukrainian forces “prepare for the future,” the alliance said.
