RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araksia Svajyan received today the delegation led by the director of the United Nations World Food Program (PFC) Nannar Scau. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Education.

Within the framework of the implementation of the next stage of the "School Food" program, the delegation visited public education institutions of Tavush, Lori and a number of other regions of Armenia, to study infrastructure and program.

Araksia Svajyan welcomed the guests and highlighted the role of the World Food Program in the introduction and effective implementation of the school food program in public schools in the regions of Armenia.

During the discussion, they touched upon the issue of including the capital Yerevan schools in the "School Food" program. In this context, the parties also discussed organizational issues related to the launch of a new pilot program in some schools in Yerevan.

Nanna Scaru, director of the UN World Food Program, thanked for the reception, emphasizing the launch of the "School Food" pilot program in Yerevan schools. According to him, the process is quite challenging, but the experience of effective cooperation with the Armenian government and partner organizations inspires confidence that the implementation of this stage of the program will also be successful.

Representatives of the delegation stressed that the example of Armenia's example of implementation of the "School Food" program in the regions of Armenia is successful and imitated for other countries.

In the context of the efficiency of the "School Food" program, there is also sufficient conditions for food organization. Touching upon the infrastructure, Deputy Minister Araksia Svajyan noted that all the institutions included in the construction, renovation and reconstruction program of the RA Government, 300 schools are provided with modern conditions, including technically equipped kitchen sector.

During the meeting, other issues related to the program were also discussed, which referred to the encouragement of the use of natural products created within the framework of agro-education in rural schools.
