It turns out that in 2024, Armenia was one of the main suppliers of flowers for Russia. 85% of Russian flowers fell into three countries, the Netherlands, Armenia and Belarus. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing data on national statistical services, as well as the assessment of the National Association of Flower and BusinessStat. More than 70% of imported flowers from the Netherlands ($ 321.5 million).
Armenia is the second largest supply of flowers at $ 32.1 million (7.1%) on this list. Then Belarus is followed by $ 28 million (6.2%), Ecuador, Latvia - 10.7 million (2.4%), and 1.7 million (1.7 million), China - 4.2 million (0.9 million).
According to the "Fact" newspaper, this year the number of flowers exported from Armenia to Russia has doubled. The reason is the export of unprecedented volume by Spayka. Moreover, according to our information, the same "spaika" will increase the production of flowers this year, in 2025 Armenia will significantly increase the volume of flower exports, significantly improving the percentage of exports.
