The US government plans to develop and deploy a new "Golden Dome" anti-missile defense system, US President Donald Trump has announced this during the speech of two chambers of the US Congress.
"As the Commander-in-Chief, I focus on the creation of the most powerful army of the future. As a first step, the Congress is asked to fund the "Golden Dome" missile defense shield to protect our homeland, which will be fully prepared in the United States, "he said.
According to Trump, US President Ronald Reagan had plans to create this missile defense system (from 1981 to 1989), but then the technologies of that time were not allowed to implement this project.
