China and Russia must maintain close cooperation at all levels, China President Xi Jinpin said during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu on Friday.
"Both sides must maintain close cooperation at all levels and complete the consensus gained between me and President Vladimir Putin," said the official website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The Chief head added that Beijing and Moscow should "continue to deepen strategic cooperation and business cooperation, helping the two countries achieve common development."
The Chinese leader also stressed the need for further strengthening of the role of Chinese-Russian coordination in international and regional issues and the need to strengthen the unity of the global southern partnership and cooperation.
