Representatives of the RA Human Rights Defender's Office took part in a working discussion in the penitentiary service on February 21.
The meeting was organized in October 2024 by the Human Rights Defender to discuss the issues registered as a result of two-day monitoring in the "Nubarashen" penitentiary institution in the RA Ministry of Justice.
Laura Gasparyan, head of the Department of Civil Tsovinar Tadosyan, the head of the Department of State Sahak Grigoryan, head of the Nubarashen Penitentiary Vahan Nasoyan, Head of the Nubarashen Penitentiary and the representatives of the MSC Staff and the Central Body of the Head of the Ombudsman.
During the meeting, they touched upon the issues of October 2024. The Defender's representatives were presented with some solutions to solutions, the ways to solve the existing problems were discussed.
The participants of the discussion confirmed their readiness to continue the meetings in such format, as they are more effective in response to rapid response to issues and find joint solutions.
The Human Rights Defender emphasizes that the state is responsible for ensuring the rights of persons deprived or otherwise authority of the state or otherwise.
The issues of human rights are always under the direct attention of the Human Rights Defender in places of deprivation.
