Yesterday, on February 9, an emergency occurred in the Gegharkunik region.
At around 23:15, the Main Department of the Criminal Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police and the Sevan Police Department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police received operational information that a car had exploded on Nairyan Street in Sevan city and that there was an injured citizen.
Before the police and rescuers arrived, the Sevan Police Department received an alarm from the “Sevan” Medical Center that a citizen had been taken to them.
The doctors informed the police officers who went to the hospital that the injured person was unable to give an explanation for the incident, as he was in the operating room and after providing him with first aid, they were transported to one of the specialized hospitals in Yerevan by resuscitation vehicle.
The police found out that the injured person was 28-year-old Yuri K., a resident of the Gegharkunik region, who was taken to the hospital with “multiple shrapnel wounds in the spinal, lumbar and gluteal regions. injuries, with a diagnosis of "penetrating question mark" injuries. A "VAZ 21124" car was found at the scene of the incident; blood-stained traces and broken windows were found next to the completely damaged car.
A criminal case was initiated in the Sevan Investigation Department on the grounds of attempted murder.
The police and investigators, having undertaken the necessary operational investigative and investigative measures, found out that at around 23:00, he was in a "Lada Priora" car belonging to him in front of a shop located at 181/1 Nairyan Street with his acquaintance. Yu. Kaparpetyan was sitting at the wheel, and the acquaintance was behind.
An argument took place in the car, during which Yu. Karapetyan took a grenade from the left side of the car and threatened to blow it up.
When the person in the car tried to get out of the car, Yu. Karapetyan tried to catch him, and at that moment the grenade fell from his hand, the citizen in the car threw himself out of the car, after which an explosion occurred, as a result of which Yu. Karapetyan was taken to the "Sevan" medical center, and from there to Yerevan.
