During the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev held a meeting. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, in preparation for the upcoming COP-29 in Baku, they exchanged views on the climate agenda.
