We reported earlier that the criminal investigation department of the Malatia police department received information that on September 25, a 57-year-old man from Mazmanyan street tried to abduct two minors in a "Mercedes" car on District street.
"As part of the initiated criminal proceedings, the man was found, arrested and presented to the investigation department with the prepared documents. The car was taken to a special area guarded by the department."
The investigative committee informed Iravaban.net that the 57-year-old man was charged under the third point of the second part of Article 44-191 of the RA Criminal Code (Attempt to kidnap a minor) and detention was chosen as a preventive measure.
Today, on January 13, in response to Iravaban.net's inquiry, the Investigative Committee informed that in connection with the incident of apparent kidnapping of a person by Sargis K., on September 27, 2024, the investigative department of the Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. in accordance with the features of Article 44-191, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code (Criminal attempt: abducting a minor), appropriate evidentiary and procedural actions were carried out against the latter, according to Article 44-191, paragraph 2, point 3 of the Criminal Code, and administrative control was chosen as a preventive measure.
The investigation is ongoing.
