The Ministry of Defense of Turkey denied the claims that a ceasefire agreement was reached between the Turkish side and Kurdish forces in Syria. Hurriyet newspaper reports this, referring to the sources of the Turkish Defense Ministry, TASS reports.
"There is no question of meeting with any terrorist organization for Turkey. Every step of the terrorists who pose a threat to the security of our country and Syria is monitored and measures are taken," the source said. The department noted that "the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the People's Self-Defense Forces pose a threat to Turkey's security that must be eliminated."
"We will continue to take tough measures against terrorist organizations and cooperate with the new Syrian administration in the fight against terrorism," the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
