From now on, Ecopareks will carry combat weapons. Thus, the Eco-Patrol Service signed a contract for 25 million 200 thousand drams with "Yeger" LLC to purchase a "Baikal MP-71" pistol.
According to the contract, 230 combat pistols were purchased.
Let us inform you that the Ecopatrol service operates under the Ministry of Environment and their tasks are:
1) ensuring the protection of state forests, forest lands and specially protected areas of nature
2) ensuring detection, prevention, and prevention of violations of the Legislation within the limits of jurisdiction defined by the legislation;
3) ensuring compliance with the rules of protection of state forests, forest lands and specially protected areas of nature, implementation of control over fire safety in forests and specially protected areas of nature;
4) Ensuring the preservation of the ecosystems and their components in the specially protected areas of nature in the Republic of Armenia, the prevention or mitigation of the negative anthropogenic impact on the normal development.
From the problems, it becomes clear that there is no need to arm the Ecopareks with combat pistols at all.
