Narek Zeynalyan, deputy of the "Civil Agreement" faction of the National Assembly, has submitted an application to the Speaker of the National Assembly to withdraw his mandate.
Earlier, on November 19, he made a statement stating that he was terminating his parliamentary powers.
Let us remind you that a few days ago, information was spread that after the incident between MP Hovik Aghazaryan and former Chairman of the Central Committee Argishti Kyaramyan during the parliamentary hearings on October 15, Zeynalyan harshly criticized Kyaramyan, stating that no official can speak to the deputies of the National Assembly in such a tone. :
It should be noted that Article 155 of the Law "Regulations of the National Assembly" stipulates: "The MP shall officially submit his written application for resignation to the President of the National Assembly, who shall issue a statement to that effect."
If, within one week after the publication of the resignation, the deputy applies in writing:
1) withdraws his application for resignation, then the Speaker of the National Assembly issues a statement to that effect;
2) does not withdraw his application for resignation, then a protocol is drawn up on the termination of his powers, which is signed and published by the Speaker of the National Assembly.
The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of publication of the protocol.
