Ukraine should listen to Europeans who declare the need for peace with Russia, believes Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Some representatives of the European elite, who declare their pro-Ukrainian position, in reality do not follow it. We must deal with those forces that at least promise peace and can negotiate with Russia," she wrote on the social network.
In Mendel's opinion, these European elites, who present themselves as friends of Kiev, only profit from the war and lead Ukraine to destruction.
On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Europe wants to preserve the anti-Russian and neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, but the Russian people cannot accept this. He also noted that the civilizational contradictions between the "Westerners" and the Russians living in southeastern Ukraine have become an irritating factor, which Europe has been nurturing quite seriously from the beginning.
