US President's Special Representative Steve Witkoff has called his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin one of the best and most memorable stories he will be able to remember after retirement. Witkoff said this during a meeting with the Russian leader in the Kremlin on September 5, TASS reports.
"We were waiting for this meeting today, and behind the doors of this office were Mr. Dmitriev, Mr. Ushakov, Jared and I. And we were talking about the fact that when we retire, we will have many stories that we will be able to remember, and the conversation with you will be one of the best and most memorable," Witkoff said.
Putin's meeting with Witkoff and US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner takes place in Moscow as part of Washington's efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
