The newspaper "Fact" writes: "The leader of the Communist Party, which retained power with 49 percent of the vote, recently made such a statement: "I have legitimacy, I said I would filter, so I will filter. In a de jure sense... ... Everything that was taken from the people, yes, we will enter, we will destroy, we will take, we will return - penny by penny, grain by grain."
Let's note: Pashinyan made such statements in the context of presenting the five-year activity program of the government he heads. What was the impression from those speeches? That the government, headed by Nikol Pashinyan, will "filter", destroy, take away in the coming 5 years.
But first, a little about legitimacy. Nikol Pashinyan has a rather exaggerated idea of the legitimacy of this government of his. There is no such thing as 49 percent legitimacy. Moreover, as a result of such elections. In general, after June 7, if Nikol Pashinyan has anything to do with legitimacy, it is a huge deficit of legitimacy.
But the other statement is much more significant. The key word here is “destroy.” And this is not surprising at all: the past 8 years of governance clearly show that destruction is indeed a typical style of work for Nikol Pashinyan and his CP.
Now Pashinyan has set out, as he has announced and is announcing, to “dispossess” Samvel Karapetyan, Gagik Tsarukyan, and their associates and relatives. The same applies to President Robert Kocharyan, his family, and especially his eldest son, Sedrak Kocharyan, who is engaged in business. The Pashinyan government’s practices are already standard: “mask show,” hours-long searches, an attack by a platoon of “Rambots” on an unresisting elderly person, companies, institutions, and various business entities with sealed, “taped” doors.
That is, on Nikol Pashinyan’s personal instructions and “de facto” whim, they are sealing and paralyzing the activities of numerous companies and institutions. They can even paralyze an entire sector, as was the case with the cement factory. If the “lockdown” had continued for a few more days, not only would several thousand people have been left unemployed and without wages, but the construction sector would also have been “silenced” or, in prime ministerial terms, “shut down” during the busiest working period.
By the way, these lockdowns are being carried out so selflessly, with such dedication and energy that the day before yesterday, an ordinary employee of one of the institutions was “locked down” inside the building...
There are people who are trying to explain Pashinyan’s attacks against the Karapetyans, Tsarukyans, and Kocharyans by the, so to speak, “unprofessionalism” of the head of the CP. Of course, such a point of view has its right to exist.
However, we believe that what is happening also has other reasons. One of them, of course, is to satisfy the low emotions of the lumpen or marginal sector. Or, look, they're taking it away, maybe we'll get a share or two too!
It won't happen. Let them not have vain hopes. And there is nothing to "return". For example, in the case of the Karapetyans, what do they return if people have achieved a certain amount of wealth through their business skills? Either in the case of Tsarukyan, or in the case of President Kocharyan's son or sons.
By the way, Pashinyan was defeated in this struggle from the very beginning. He lost to both Karapetyan, Tsarukyan, and Robert Kocharyan. In a profound sense. No matter what Pashinyan does, he will still be remembered in history as the leader who led Artsakh to destruction and the exodus of Armenians.
And Karapetyan and Tsarukyan, whatever one may say, will be remembered for their deeds in business and patronage, they will be remembered as financiers of the construction of a wonderful church or the renovation of the Mother Cathedral. Robert Kocharyan will also be remembered for his undeniable role in the Artsakh liberation war, as a figure who took responsibility at a fateful moment and led his people to victory. A victorious leader.
And Pashinyan's is defeat and... being proud of defeat, dangling defeat and disaster like noodles in the ears of the public as a great achievement.
However, let's quickly return from the historical records of the future to current realities.
Look, by the order (order, whim) of one person, the work of dozens and dozens of companies is instantly stopped. These companies are declared outlaws, deprived of rights and legal protection. In addition to the fact that property rights are massively violated, it is also a gross violation of the social rights of hundreds and thousands of ordinary workers.
About returning. The question is, to whom will they return? What will they return? We see that there is a gross violation of property rights, in essence, a seizure of property. Also, at the cost of demolition. Yes, Pashinyan’s words about demolition are completely understandable and there is no need for additional justification. We have been seeing these demolitions for 8 years now. Destroyed Artsakh is a glaring example and proof. The Armenian villages and cities, churches and cemeteries that have been destroyed and are being destroyed in Artsakh are also a plus.
And in this matter, there is a fundamental, even a specific difference between Pashinyan and the figures he is pursuing. People have been creating a new structure, a new business, a new approach for years, they have added two to one, they have created hundreds, if not thousands of jobs, they have provided thousands of families with stable work and created the opportunity to live on income.
What has Pashinyan’s government done? He has taken away, made people unemployed, faced daily vital, social problems and uncertainty. He has destroyed, ruined. What has Pashinyan created... a tripled "Yerablur", Kirantsi border fence, new security threats...
And he is still talking about destroying.
