A CNN investigation found that US President Donald Trump promoted more than 20 companies whose securities he acquired shortly before using his own Truth Social social network.
According to the TV channel, the head of the United States made at least 44 transactions, buying shares of 21 companies, and after that, within a week, he made announcements that could have a positive impact on the price of these stocks. As an example of such steps, CNN points to the purchase of Nvidia shares in the range of 200 thousand to 500 thousand dollars, after which the US president wrote on his social network page about the plans of the technological giant to create artificial intelligence supercomputers in the US. Additionally, the US leader purchased Tesla shares ranging from $500,000 to $1 million shortly before wishing Elon Musk's companies good luck on Truth Social.
At the same time, the media emphasizes that there is no clear evidence of Trump's deliberate promotion of his own investment portfolio. In turn, the White House informed that investments in the president's securities are carried out by independent organizations.
