"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "The US State Department yesterday confirmed the news published by The Guardian, according to which the fund created for the implementation of the TRIPP project will be headed by Konstantin Sokolov, who is one of the new owners of the MTS Armenia company, together with the Chinese Zhe Zhang, who specialize in buying and selling companies and concluding such deals, as well as being skilled managers of large companies.
Sokolov is one of Donald Trump's longtime sponsors, in particular, he invested $12 million in Trump's election campaign.
He is the founder of a number of investment funds, has held leadership positions in various companies. But the funniest thing is that he was born in 1975, in St. Petersburg, is a Jew by nationality, and met Nikol Pashinyan in 2024."
