The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed two commanders of the Hamas Nuhba special forces in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF spokesperson's office said on Wednesday.
"Yesterday (Tuesday) IDF forces struck the northern part of the Gaza Strip and killed two commanders of the Hamas Nuhba detachment," the statement said.
The IDF spokesperson's office stated that the militants posed a direct threat to the Israeli forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
It added that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties before the strike.
